In 1999, Sue Schmieden opened The Quilting Connection in Elkhorn, Wisconsin. This is a full service longarm quilting shop and training center offering professional sales and service, training classes and rentals and a wide range of longarm supplies which are also available on her Web site. Sue teaches longarm workshops both locally and nationally and is well known for designing the Quick Zip System™ as well as creating wholecloth patterns and pre-printed wholecloth kits plus her original Color Magic™ technique of layering different materials for unique wholecloth quilts.
